Republican leaders have recently contacted U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, urging him to intervene in the plans of the crypto political action committee Fellowship PAC, which is supported by his former company, Cantor Fitzgerald. According to Odaily, the PAC had disclosed in FEC filings its intention to invest $1.75 million to support Ken Paxton, raising concerns within the party about its involvement in sensitive primaries. Sources indicate that the PAC ultimately did not run the planned advertisements, and Republican officials have since expressed that their concerns have been alleviated. Fellowship PAC is associated with Tether and has previously announced plans to raise $100 million for the 2026 elections, with approximately $11 million already raised.
