AI TRENDS | Quantum Computing Advances: Potential to Enhance AI Data Processing

Researchers from Caltech, Google Quantum AI, Oratomic, and MIT have introduced a method that could enable quantum computers to handle large AI datasets more efficiently, utilizing less memory. According to NS3.AI, the team suggests that a quantum machine with approximately 300 logical qubits might surpass classical computers in specific tasks. They also estimate that around 60 logical qubits could start demonstrating advantages in certain AI data-processing tasks, although such systems are not currently available.
