STRC Shares Rise 9.41% Premarket After Strategy Announces Up to $1 Billion Buyback Plan

STRC shares rose 9.41% in premarket trading to $81.59 after Strategy said it will use up to $1 billion to repurchase digital credit securities, including STRC. According to Odaily, Strategy, a Bitcoin treasury company, introduced a new capital framework that includes a $1 billion digital credit securities repurchase program aimed at optimizing its capital structure. The company’s board also approved a Bitcoin monetization plan that would raise up to $1.25 billion through related operations to increase its U.S. dollar reserves. As of June 28, Strategy’s U.S. dollar reserves were about $2.55 billion. Strategy said the new capital arrangements are intended to strengthen liquidity management and improve overall balance sheet flexibility and risk resilience.
