R25 Integrates Real-World Assets into Sui Network with New Tokens

According to BlockBeats, the institutional-grade RWA protocol R25 has introduced real-world assets to the Sui network by launching rcUSD and its interest-bearing version, rcUSDp. This collaboration enables regulated off-chain financial instruments to be integrated onto the Sui blockchain. rcUSD is a token backed by real-world assets, supported by regulated, interest-bearing financial tools, and pegged to the value of one U.S. dollar. rcUSDp is an interest-bearing token obtained by staking rcUSD, with returns derived from underlying RWA asset portfolios, such as tokenized money market funds, and public chain incentives, allowing holders to earn staking rewards. Both rcUSD and rcUSDp will be integrated with various DeFi protocols on Sui, offering new on-chain yield opportunities, lending functions, and RWA-backed asset liquidity. This initiative is expected to further expand the Sui DeFi ecosystem, which currently has a total value locked (TVL) exceeding $2 billion. The collaboration marks a significant advancement in bringing compliant off-chain assets onto the blockchain, with rcUSDp being among the first interest-bearing tokens supported by institutional-grade security and real yield assets.
