HashKey Capital: Plans to communicate with Hong Kong regulators on the feasibility of issuing Ethereum spot ETFs and pledge products

HashKey Capital partner Huang Yongxin said that they are actively exploring the direction of Ethereum spot ETF and staking, hoping to bring more investment methods to retail and institutional investors and release capital liquidity. She said that HashKey Capital will also communicate with regulators on the feasibility of issuing products in Hong Kong, and will be prepared to provide the best product solutions. According to an industry insider, existing technology can already support staking, but the main problem lies in the supervision of risk control, such as the risk and responsibility of staking interest. Bloomberg previously disclosed that the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission is considering allowing Ethereum spot ETF staking. After submitting a plan in recent weeks, it has discussed staking through licensed platforms with relevant ETF issuers, but there is no clear timetable.
