On September 21, the Beijing Local Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau replied that it had interviewed the website operator involved in the case and ordered it to remove the illegal content as soon as possible. Enterprises violating regulations in the field carried out investigation and disposal, and shut down 23 virtual currency mainstream media websites, 440 self-media accounts involving virtual currency publicity transactions, and removed 13 virtual currency trading apps in conjunction with the Municipal Communications Administration, the Municipal Cyberspace Administration and other departments , to control 25 popular keywords suspected of virtual currency speculation, and the Beijing Banking and Insurance Regulatory Bureau instructed 6 banks within its jurisdiction to check the personal accounts of 2 suspected virtual currency OTC traders and take measures to restrict non-counter transactions and cancel accounts and other control measures.
