According to Blockworks, Jared Gray, the former CEO of the DeFi platform Eons Finance, won the election of SushiSwap's new CEO with 83% of the votes. There were about 18,000 eligible addresses in this vote, and a total of 391 addresses participated in the voting, totaling 13 million votes. Eleven million of those votes came from five whale addresses, including Jared Gray's 10 million votes from four whale addresses (VC firms GoldenTree and Cumberland both cast 4 million votes). Foresight News previously reported that SushiSwap's search for a new CEO has been ongoing since the departure of former SushiSwap CEO Maki in September 2021. In July, the SushiSwap community proposed to hire Jonathan Howard, co-founder and chief technology officer of NFT project Big Head Club, as CEO.
