BNB Chain released the BNB Greenfield technology roadmap, which aims to improve performance, improve development experience and expand multi-chain functions. The roadmap is mainly based on three key principles of high performance, simplified development experience and multi-chain platform, including:
1. Increase the SP upload and download speed by 5 times, from 2MB/s to 10MB/s and 20MB/s to 100MB/s respectively;
2. Compatible with popular Web2 and Web3 standards to simplify the development experience;
3. Introduce rich storage functions, including resource tagging, indexing, simplified data migration and object atomic updates;
4. Provide powerful infrastructure through a multi-chain platform for full-chain or decentralized applications, enabling cross-chain programmability with opBNB and EVM-compatible chains;
5. Greenfield will also be positioned as the underlying data availability (DA) layer of the opBNB and BSC ecosystems.
Greenfield will also address challenges related to artificial intelligence (AI), including ownership, transparency and innovation, by integrating it with Web3 on BNB Chain. In addition, Greenfield will enable smart contracts as resource owners between 2023 Q4 and 2024 Q1 to better control the permissions of BSC/opBNB.
