HSBC Orion, a blockchain bond tokenization platform launched by HSBC, tokenizes ownership of physical gold held in its London vaults. The new system creates digital tokens that represent gold bars, which can then be traded through the bank’s single-dealer platform, Mark Williamson, general head of partnerships and propositions for FX and commodities, said in an interview.
