The Boundless Foundation will launch its Tokenized AI Inference program on January 2, 2027, positioning ZKC as an AI utility token. According to Foresight News, ZKC holders will be able to stake tokens for a proportional share of recurring credits to use models on the Boundless AI platform, including DeepSeek and GLM.
The initial credit pool will be about $1,000, with allocations made every two days based on each user’s share of total network staking. Staked ZKC will not be consumed, and users will not need to migrate or restake their tokens.
Boundless plans to move ZKC toward a fixed supply and stop issuing new tokens, with AI usage credits replacing staking and proof rewards. Its ZK proof business will be paused indefinitely starting November 5, 2026, and the Explorer user interface will be taken offline on November 30. The final staking reward period will end on January 1, 2027, when ZKC issuance will stop; the AI inference program is scheduled to begin the following day.
