Amazon, Tesla and SpaceX Join Objections to OKX-ICE Tokenized Stock Plan as Deadline Nears

Amazon, Tesla, SpaceX, Netflix, SoFi and Lam Research are the latest companies to formally object to OKXICE's plans to trade tokenized versions of their shares, bringing the total to 56, according to CoinDesk.Of the 62 companies OKXICE initially selected for trading, 49 — about 79% — have now objected, based on CoinDesk's tally. Seven further objectors sit outside that original list.Under SEC rules, issuers have 30 days from receiving a venue's written notice to object. For companies notified on Oct. 4, when OKXICE published its initial filing, that deadline falls on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The clock runs from each company's individual notice, however, so the filing does not create a common deadline. Venues have up to five business days to publish objections, meaning more responses could emerge after that date.Andrew Cuomo, OKXICE co-chairman and former New York governor, said at a Friday press conference that many companies wanted to see how the market worked before joining. He said companies outside the initial selection had approached the venture about participating, but declined to name them or say how many. He also gave no launch date or indication of how many stocks would be available at the start.
