Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI Alliance) said it has confirmed an attack on its FET token migration and cross-chain architecture, with other tokens in the related infrastructure also affected. According to Foresight News, the team has responded and is working with security partners to handle the incident.
ASI Alliance said the attacker extracted about $1.56 million in FET from the token conversion contract. Treasury wallets and exchange wallets were not affected, and FET held in self-custody wallets or on exchanges is not impacted, so holders do not need to take any action. The alliance said it will release a full incident report after the investigation is completed.
ASI Alliance was formed in 2024 through the merger of Fetch.ai, SingularityNET, and CUDOS, and the circulating token continues to use Fetch.ai's original code, FET. The second phase had originally planned to change the token code to ASI, but the plan was shelved because it involved exchange delistings and relistings, affected perpetual contracts, and risked losing historical market data.
