Saudi Arabia is increasing prompt crude sales from outside the Strait of Hormuz after the shutdown of its East-West pipeline halted cross-country flows to the Red Sea coast, according to Bloomberg. The sales helped push oil prices lower as physical markets cooled from recent peaks and traders bet some Middle East supply outages would be short-lived.
