Lido Proposal Seeks Conditional LDO Exchange Liquidity Program

A Lido governance forum proposal would authorize a conditional centralized exchange liquidity market-making program for LDO to reduce the risk of trading pairs deteriorating or being delisted due to thin liquidity. According to ChainCatcher, the plan could provide up to $1.5 million in recallable LDO inventory from the Lido DAO treasury, capped at 7.5 million LDO, plus up to $480,000 in USDC for fixed service fees and related costs over as long as 12 months. The authorization would expire if not used within two years and would only be activated if the Lido Growth Committee determines that CEX liquidity is insufficient or may become insufficient. The forum said LDO’s average daily trading volume over the past 90 days was about $34 million, down from $43.8 million in the prior 90 days and about $95.4 million in the same period of 2025. The proposal said the program is intended to maintain two-sided liquidity and keep trading pairs listed, not to support the token price, and no specific market maker or exchange has been named.
