According to Sina Finance, Clarksons Research said about 8 million barrels of oil now pass through the Strait of Hormuz each day, bringing total Middle East crude outflows to about 13.5 million barrels per day. Clarksons Research is the analysis arm of shipbroker Clarksons.
Steve Gordon, managing director of Clarksons Research, said energy markets continue to show resilience in moving oil into the market, despite major disruptions, thanks to the logistical flexibility provided by the shipping market. He also said additional export growth of about 750,000 barrels per day from other producers such as Brazil has added to global supply.
