China Says Domestic Demand Drove Over 80% Of First-Half Growth

China's economic growth is still mainly driven by domestic demand, with internal demand contributing more than 80% to first-half growth, National Bureau of Statistics spokespersons Fu Linghui and Wang Guanhua said at a briefing, according to Ming Pao. They said the trend of expanding domestic demand has not changed. With the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays approaching, service consumption demand is expected to be released in a concentrated way, while new technologies and products continue to cultivate new consumption growth points, helping support a moderate rise in CPI.
