STOCKS | Wall Street Strategists See U.S. Stocks Weathering Higher Rates

According to Wallstreetcn, top Wall Street strategists are again bullish on U.S. stocks, saying stronger economic growth and resilient corporate earnings should help the market withstand pressure from rising interest rates. Strategists at Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, and Goldman Sachs said that even if the Federal Reserve's expected rate hikes trigger a selloff, the decline may be short-lived. Goldman Sachs chief U.S. equity strategist Ben Snider said stocks usually come under pressure when the Fed starts raising rates, but he expects the bull market to continue, adding that the market has already priced in more than three rate hikes over the next year and that corporate earnings and balance sheets remain strong.
