Moderna’s successful phase 3 study of its personalized mRNA cancer vaccine mRNA-4157 has intensified interest in AI drug development, according to Jiemian News. The article says the vaccine’s personalization depends on AI screening a patient’s unique neoantigen combinations, but that AI’s main role here is selection rather than end-to-end target discovery or molecule design.

Jitai Technology said it received about 10 calls the day after the announcement and then signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Wisk Biotech to develop personalized mRNA cancer vaccines. Insilico Medicine said it also received many inquiries, including about its pipeline with Metagenomi and whether it plans to expand into mRNA-related areas.
