Walmart To Expand Dunkin' Delivery Through Walmart Restaurant Delivery

According to CNBC, Walmart will begin delivering Dunkin' products from its own stores and then expand the program over the next year to include most of Dunkin's roughly 10,000 U.S. locations, many of which are outside Walmart stores. The retailer said the service will run through Walmart Restaurant Delivery, which first launched with Subway, and a Walmart spokesperson said the move is meant to add convenience while pairing restaurant delivery with Walmart's product assortment. Walmart senior vice president Greg Cathey said nearly 65% of restaurant orders since the Subway launch were delivered with items customers needed quickly from Walmart, one in five combined orders were from first-time Express Delivery users, and nearly 30% of those customers returned within 30 days. Walmart CFO John David Rainey said customers want value, convenience and speed, and the company said U.S. fast delivery under 30 minutes grew 48% in the quarter.
