Volkswagen Approves Future Plan 2030 With 50,000 Job Cuts

Volkswagen’s supervisory board approved Future Plan 2030, which calls for about 50,000 more job cuts across the group and a roughly 50% reduction in its model range by 2035. According to BeInCrypto, the plan also targets annual sales of 9 million vehicles and a 9% operating margin by 2030, while four plants face uncertainty from 2031 to 2034. The company said European capacity exceeds demand by more than 500,000 units and earmarked EUR 135 billion for capital spending and research between 2027 and 2031.
