Wan Fang Family Office has appointed Peng Cheng as chief investment officer, effective immediately, according to ETNet. In the newly created role, he will strengthen the firm's investment management capabilities and set overall investment strategy, with a focus on supporting clients' long-term and intergenerational wealth transfer goals.
He will also provide advice on global macroeconomic trends and emerging investment themes, and will be based in Hong Kong while reporting to Chief Executive Officer Kwan Chi Man. Kwan said Peng's appointment underscores the group's long-term commitment to Asian markets and will help build stronger, more sustainable long-term partnerships with clients.
Peng has more than 20 years of wealth management experience in Greater China and the United States. He has led investment teams and developed asset allocation strategies at several international financial institutions, most recently serving as head of investment strategy for Asia Pacific private banking and managing director at Citigroup.
