Meritz Securities analyst Kim Sun-woo said SK Hynix is expected to post record second-quarter results, driven by one-time investment gains and higher semiconductor prices. According to Odaily, he estimated the company's pretax profit for April to June will exceed 10 trillion won, including 6.01 trillion won in operating profit and 4.16 trillion won in investment gains from Bain Capital's stake in Japan's Kioxia.
The estimate would top SK Hynix's first-quarter record operating profit of 5.88 trillion won. Kim added that second-quarter DRAM and NAND memory chip prices rose 30% and 49%, respectively.
SK Hynix is scheduled to release its second-quarter 2026 earnings on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
