Stablecoin issuer Mandela Digital said it has raised $5 million in funding, with Datavault AI participating. According to Odaily, the new capital will be used for stablecoin infrastructure, compliance, exchange integration, liquidity, and marketing, as well as to accelerate the launch of Mandela Dollar (MUSD), a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin.
The company said MUSD is positioned to support financial inclusion, cross-border remittances, and digital payments in the Global South. Datavault AI will also provide technical support for MUSD, including an AI platform, blockchain tokenization, SanQtum post-quantum encryption, and a real-world asset framework.
