Scaramucci Says CLARITY Act Crypto Ban Should Extend To Insider Trading

Anthony Scaramucci says the CLARITY Act’s new ban on federal officials sponsoring crypto does not go far enough, arguing the same ethics rules should apply to insider trading across the board. according to BeInCrypto, the SkyBridge Capital founder said Congress’s pay structure encourages lawmakers to trade on information gathered in office, and he pointed to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s portfolio performance as an example. Scaramucci also cited past efforts to weaken congressional trading oversight, while Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has pushed for stricter limits.
