Jump Trading Expands Prediction Markets Team to About 20 People

Jump Trading Group is expanding its prediction markets business as trading volumes on the sector hit record highs during major events such as the World Cup. According to Odaily, the firm has doubled the size of its prediction markets team this year to about 20 people and plans to keep hiring. Jump Trading head of prediction markets Simon Johansen said the company believes prediction markets are moving from a niche product toward a more established part of financial markets and still have room to grow.
