SocialFi trading card game Fantasy.top has announced its closure at the end of June after two years of operation. According to ChainCatcher, the team cited the long-term economic limitations of the TCG model, which failed to generate sufficient trading volume to sustain ongoing operations.
Over the past year, the team explored various social vertical products, including prediction markets, mindshare tracking, and social graph betting, but none achieved lasting market fit. All investors will receive full refunds. The main Fantasy competitions will continue until June 18, when the remaining rewards are fully distributed. Prediction markets, prize pools, and arena games will close on May 21.
