Brevis has announced the official launch of its image traceability tool, Brevis Vera, now available to all users. According to Foresight News, users can utilize cameras or smartphones supporting the C2PA standard to capture images. After performing edits such as cropping, exposure, and color adjustments in Vera, a zero-knowledge proof document is generated. This document allows any third party to independently verify the image's origin and processing chain in a browser without revealing the source media or editing process.
Brevis Vera was initially introduced in March as an interactive concept demonstration. The full version now incorporates zero-knowledge proof mechanisms within the C2PA protocol stack. It is designed to complement existing editing tools like Adobe Photoshop, rather than serve as a competing alternative.
