Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha announced last Sunday that President Volodymyr Zelensky is prepared for a potential meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey. According to Odaily, Sybiha made this statement during an interview with the Ukrainian National News Agency on the sidelines of the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
Sybiha highlighted Turkey's capacity to achieve unprecedented diplomatic success, stating, "We have urged Turkey to consider organizing a meeting at the level of Zelensky and Putin, with the possibility of Turkish President Erdogan and U.S. President Donald Trump also participating."
He emphasized that the Ukrainian side, including Zelensky, is ready for such a meeting and mentioned that Kyiv has put forward "practical proposals." Sybiha expressed hope that Turkey could play a role in accelerating the peace process surrounding the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
