The United States and Ukraine delegations engaged in discussions on Sunday in Florida, aiming to establish a comprehensive peace agreement to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. According to RTHK, the talks were constructive, building on progress made the previous day, with a focus on establishing a reliable security framework for Ukraine and addressing humanitarian efforts.
The U.S. delegation included U.S. President Donald Trump's envoy, Jared Kushner, and White House senior advisor Glenn Baum. The Ukrainian delegation was represented by Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, and Andriy Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that while the U.S. is currently focused on developments surrounding Iran and the broader region, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine must also be resolved. He mentioned signs of potential further prisoner exchanges, which he views as positive news, indicating that diplomatic efforts are effective and hopes for a final resolution.
