Media and legal disputes between FTX’s new U.S. management team and Bahamian regulators have festered over FTX’s bankruptcy case, with the two sides preparing to take their case to a court hearing later this week, CoinDesk reported. At the heart of the dispute is who had access to FTX's internal systems, such as internal Slack messages and QuickBooks accounting software. Foresight News previously reported that early last week, the Bahamas Securities Commission announced that it had recovered assets worth $3.5 billion from FTX. However, the U.S. bankruptcy team stated that the calculation was wrong, and the Bahamas only recovered assets worth about $296 million. The Bahamas disputes this characterization, arguing that FTX's new CEO has made material misrepresentations.
