Binance Charity Donates $200,000 for Vietnam Flood Relief Efforts

When devastating floods swept through central Vietnam this November, communities across multiple provinces faced significant loss and disruption, urgently needing support. On November 21, in Ho Chi Minh City, Binance Charity representatives visited the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) to pledge USD 200,000 (nearly VND 5.3 billion) toward emergency relief, recovery, and reconstruction efforts. This donation is intended to offer timely assistance to the regions hardest hit by the recent storms and floods, helping families access essential resources as they work toward restoring stability in their daily lives. Mr. Nguyễn Hải Nam, Deputy Chief of the Central Committee of the VFF, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude for their contribution and solidarity with the affected communities. He emphasized that this support is a valuable source of encouragement, reflecting the spirit of mutual care and solidarity, as encapsulated in the saying, "the good leaves protect the torn ones." This contribution will aid people in disaster-stricken provinces across the country in gaining additional resources to stabilize their lives soon. This latest donation extends Binance Charity's ongoing support in Vietnam, where the organization has actively partnered with government agencies and local NGOs on multiple community initiatives. In 2024, Binance Charity launched an emergency relief campaign for Typhoon Yagi, airdropping USD 1 million worth of BNB tokens to users in affected regions. In the same year, Binance deployed industrial RO water filtration systems across 10 Mekong Delta provinces to combat saltwater intrusion and collaborated with the Earthworm Foundation in Binh Thuan Province to plant 10,000 trees, enhancing forest coverage, restoring ecosystems, and creating sustainable livelihoods for local residents.
