Apple Prohibits Employees From Prediction-Market Trading With Confidential Information

Apple updated its insider trading policy in an annual filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, listing prediction-market trading as a prohibited activity. According to Odaily, employees may not use confidential information obtained through work to bet or trade on platforms such as Polymarket, even when the activity does not violate applicable insider-trading or securities laws. The restriction covers markets on events involving Apple and other companies, suppliers, manufacturers, sellers, customers and business partners. Employees are also prohibited from disclosing confidential information to people who may participate in such trading.
