Capital B Executive Alexandre Laizet: France's Debt Reaches 120% of GDP, Europe Needs Bitcoin

Capital B executive Alexandre Laizet said in a Bitcoin Magazine video interview that France's debt has reached 120% of GDP and argued that Europe needs Bitcoin. According to ChainCatcher, Laizet said the problem is not debt itself but the use of borrowed funds for consumption rather than investment, while Europe's debt crisis and currency depreciation provide reasons to hold Bitcoin. Laizet said France's capital market structure suits a Bitcoin reserve strategy, which was one reason Capital B established its operations there. The company aims to become Europe's largest by capital size and plans to expand its Bitcoin holdings through continued purchases during bear markets. The interview also covered new MSCI rules for Bitcoin reserve companies, perpetual credit and the regulatory environment in Europe, and growing interest among credit investors in Bitcoin-backed lending.
