CoinShares Sees Fed Hawkishness and CLARITY Bill Delay as Near-Term Crypto Pressures

CoinShares said a hawkish shift in Federal Reserve policy and delays to the CLARITY Act are the two main short-term pressures facing the crypto market. According to Odaily, the firm said Bitcoin may struggle to break above $80,000 before year-end unless the inflation outlook improves or monetary policy expectations change materially. The report said the Fed still views inflation as too high, and its latest rate projections no longer show room for cuts before 2027. It added that the dollar and short-term Treasury yields have been supported, while the Iran conflict has pushed up energy prices and increased the chance of another rate hike this year. On regulation, CoinShares said the main disagreement over the CLARITY Act remains centered on ethics provisions, and a revised version could be reintroduced as early as next year. The firm said the bill's stalled progress has limited impact on Bitcoin because its regulatory status is relatively clear, while Ethereum and other altcoins face greater regulatory uncertainty.
