China's Electronic Yarn and Cloth Prices Rise as AI Demand Lifts PCB Consumption

Latest data from Zhuochuang Information showed that prices for mainstream domestic electronic yarn products G75 and 7628 electronic cloth have risen sharply, with many manufacturers further increasing prices for some high-end electronic yarn models. He Li, general manager of Beijing Zhizhiyizhi'an Investment Management Co., said the price increases are mainly driven by AI-related demand upgrades, while effective supply expansion has lagged behind. He said high-end AI server PCBs use about three to five times as much electronic cloth per unit as traditional servers, and manufacturers are also shifting equipment and capital toward higher-value products such as thin cloth and low-dielectric cloth, squeezing supply of standard electronic cloth. According to Jiemian News, the tight market for electronic cloth is likely to persist in the near term.
