Vitalik Proposes Adding EIP-8288 to Ethereum's I-Star Upgrade

Vitalik said on X that he wants the recursive STARK mempool proposal EIP-8288 included in Ethereum's I-star upgrade, describing it as the next step after Frames. According to Odaily, the proposal would move quantum-safe signature data off-chain to reduce signing costs, while the gas cost of quantum-safe private transactions could fall from about 10 million to tens of thousands. The design relies on Frames and recursive STARKs to aggregate transaction dependencies, with each node sending a 100 KB to 300 KB STARK each time period. The on-chain overhead would be one STARK plus 96 bytes for each statement to be proven.
