DeepSeek Seeks New Funding at About $71 Billion Pre-Money Valuation

DeepSeek is seeking a new round of financing at a pre-money valuation of about $71 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. According to Odaily, the company’s monthly recurring revenue reached about $500 million last month, while its year-to-date AI infrastructure spending has reached $1.6 billion, close to 10 times its 2025 full-year level. The report said limited direct investment capacity has led to the emergence of multiple layers of special purpose vehicles offering exposure to DeepSeek equity. Some lower-tier SPVs are charging more than 15% in upfront fees and taking performance fees of up to 40%.
