Citi's Cowan Says South Africa Has Not Turned the Growth Corner

David Cowan, Africa economist at Citi Research, said South Africa has yet to turn the corner on growth and that the economy is showing resilience rather than a strong acceleration, according to Bloomberg. He also said Zimbabwe's recovery is benefiting from improved fiscal discipline, higher gold and lithium prices, and stronger agricultural exports.
