TrendForce Raises 2026 Smartphone Output Forecast to 1.07 Billion Units

According to Jin10, TrendForce said global smartphone production reached 275 million units in the second quarter of 2026, down 8% from a year earlier, but better than market expectations and less weak than previously forecast. TrendForce raised its full-year 2026 smartphone production forecast to 1.07 billion units from 1.05 billion units, and said the annual decline would narrow to 14% from 16%.
