Binance Futures to End Last Price Protected Period on TACUSDT Perpetual

Binance Futures will end the Last Price Protected (LPP) period on the USDⓈ-Margined TACUSDT Perpetual Contract, with the Mark Price shifting gradually from the LPP mechanism to the standard Mark Price calculation starting 2026-09-07 06:00 (UTC), according to a Binance announcement. The transition may take up to three hours depending on price volatility and the availability of a stable index price, and uses a mark price smoothing process to limit sudden moves. Trading is not affected during the transition, and open orders and positions will not be cancelled. Once the LPP period ends, the Mark Price will be calculated as the median of Price 1, Price 2 and the Contract Price, following the standard USDⓈ-Margined Futures formulas. The funding rate will then revert to standard perpetual contract rules, with the funding rate cap widening from +0.005%/-0.005% to +2.00%/-2.00% at 2026-09-07 06:00 (UTC): the cap stays at +0.005%/-0.005% as of 04:00 UTC and moves to +2.000%/-2.000% from 08:00 UTC onward. The funding interval will change from every four hours to every one hour once a funding settlement reaches the +2.00%/-2.00% cap. Binance said it may adjust the contract's specifications — including funding fee, tick size, maximum leverage, and initial and maintenance margin requirements — from time to time based on market risk conditions, and that the English version prevails over any translations.
