US, UK Sign First Joint MoU To Target Crypto Scam Compounds

US and UK law enforcement signed a first-of-its-kind memorandum of understanding on Thursday to dismantle overseas crypto and cyber scam compounds that strip roughly $10 billion from Americans each year. According to BeInCrypto, the pact binds the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, the Crown Prosecution Service of England and Wales, and the National Crime Agency to run parallel probes, share intelligence and decide which country prosecutes each case. The agencies have already flagged overlapping cases, and the NCA will host an in-person disruption operation in London in early October.
