TrendForce: 2026 Global Notebook Shipment Decline Narrows to 9.4%

According to Jin10, TrendForce said notebook CPU supply improved significantly from the second quarter of 2026, helping brand manufacturers gradually restore purchasing and production schedules and encouraging them to stock up earlier and lock in components as DRAM and SSD costs kept rising. TrendForce said the continued rise in memory prices and higher CPU prices have further increased cost pressure on brands, while easing CPU shortages in the second half of 2026, earlier inventory building, early device replacement by end consumers, and stable business demand are expected to lift shipments, narrowing the full-year 2026 decline in global notebook shipments to 9.4%.
