Strive Buys 1,800 Bitcoin for $143 Million, Lifts Holdings to 23,156 BTC

Strive bought 1,800 Bitcoin between August 24 and August 28 at an average price of $79,431 per coin, spending about $143 million including fees and related expenses. According to Odaily, the purchase lifted its Bitcoin holdings from 21,356 to 23,156 BTC and made it the fifth-largest public company by Bitcoin holdings, behind Strategy, Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, and MARA Holdings. Strive said it accumulated nearly 3,000 Bitcoin over the past 15 days, including 1,110 BTC bought between August 17 and August 21 for about $81.5 million and 79 BTC purchased earlier in August for about $5 million. CEO Matt Cole confirmed the purchases in a post on X on August 31. The company said the purchases were funded mainly through stock sales rather than debt financing. During the period, the number of ASST common shares rose from about 79.9 million to 83.5 million, and the number of SATA preferred shares also increased. The two programs are expected to raise about $154.6 million, with roughly $143 million allocated to Bitcoin purchases. Strive said SATA currently offers a 13% annual dividend paid on each business day. The company also said it has repaid outstanding debt, has no margin requirements, and has not pledged its Bitcoin as collateral. ASST shares rose more than 5% on Monday and were up nearly 100% for the month.
