Oman and Qatar Discuss Strengthening Cooperation Ties

According to Jin10, Oman and Qatar discussed strengthening cooperation in business, industry, and investment, and explored new prospects for partnerships in several areas of mutual interest. Oman and Iran have also held talks for weeks on how to jointly manage the key shipping lane through the Strait of Hormuz. Qatar is an important behind-the-scenes mediator between the United States and Iran and played a key role in helping secure a memorandum of understanding in June, which briefly led both sides to stop hostilities before the agreement later expired.
