According to Wallstreetcn, the S&P 500 Index initially fell 0.7%, with consumer discretionary down 2%, industrials down 1.5%, technology down 1.1%, telecommunications down 0.6%, and energy up 1.5%; the Nasdaq 100 initially fell 1.3%, while AXON fell 8.3%, Cadence Design Systems dropped 7.7%, CrowdStrike fell 7.1%, Astera Labs declined 6.2%, Strategy fell 5.8%, Synopsys dropped 5.5%, Meta and Diamondback Energy rose 1.2%, Apple gained more than 2.5% as its new CEO took office, and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals rose 3.1%.
