Polymarket Says It Has Systems to Detect Suspicious Trading Ahead of U.S. Midterms

Polymarket’s new global head of investigations and intelligence, Shana Bautista, said the company has systems in place to identify unusual trading activity as the U.S. midterm elections approach. According to ChainCatcher, she also said Polymarket will continue blocking U.S. users from its international platform to comply with a 2022 settlement with U.S. regulators. Polymarket also plans to launch a new webpage that will outline how its market integrity review tools work, including machine learning, blockchain analytics, and trade monitoring. The company said it has referred more than 100 cases to law enforcement.
