Strategy Holds 840,400 Bitcoin as Unrealized Profit Tops $2.8 Billion

Enterprise software company Strategy holds 840,400 bitcoin valued at about $66.4 billion, based on a bitcoin price of about $79,007. The holdings are up about 4.4% from an average purchase cost of $75,653, with unrealized profit exceeding $2.8 billion. According to Odaily, Michael Saylor posted a holdings chart on Sunday with the caption, "We’re Back." Strategy has not added to its bitcoin holdings for about two months and typically discloses weekly purchases on Monday mornings. The post did not say whether a new purchase is imminent. Strategy recently raised $334 million by selling MSTR shares and did not use bitcoin, while in recent months it also sold a small amount of bitcoin to pay preferred stock dividends and fund share buybacks.
