Ki Young Ju Says Non-U.S. Institutional Demand Could Drive Bitcoin's Next Peak

Cryptoquant founder and CEO Ki Young Ju said Bitcoin's current bull cycle may peak on the back of institutional capital and ETF demand outside the United States. According to ChainCatcher, he said deeper stablecoin liquidity and tokenized asset infrastructure could broaden global market participation. Using South Korea as an example, Ki said the country currently has no spot Bitcoin ETF, retail investors cannot buy overseas-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs, and most companies cannot open trading accounts to purchase BTC. South Korea has begun opening corporate participation in stages, with the Financial Services Commission's roadmap covering about 3,500 listed companies and qualified professional investors, while financial institutions and other companies remain excluded. Strategy's Bitcoin banking adoption index assessed 25 major institutions across trading, custody, digital asset products, financing, and corporate participation, and found an overall adoption rate of 32%. RWA.xyz data showed the global value of tokenized assets reached $38.63 billion, up 2.65% from 30 days earlier. The Bank for International Settlements said stablecoins have the potential to enable faster, programmable payments, but their current design may create financial integrity, liquidity, and monetary risks. Ki said U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded about $57 billion in cumulative net inflows in the first two years after launch, and the next phase will be global institutionalization, with more institutions treating BTC as a strategic asset and countries without ETFs improving access channels.
