Fomo co-founder Se Yong Park said the crypto trading app has completed its first funding round, with 140 angel investors participating. According to ChainCatcher, the company now has more than 200 angel investors on its cap table.
Park said early founders often misunderstand the relationship between a company and its angel investors, arguing that angels should be viewed as a bullish option on product success. He added that even if a cap table includes tech CEOs, celebrities, or athletes, their likelihood of helping early on is close to zero. As the company scales and builds a product that angel investors genuinely want to use and proudly share, more people will naturally recommend it to others.
