Multicoin Capital co-founder Tushar Jain said it is "completely absurd" to ask traders to disclose their trading intentions in advance, responding to comments from Nansen co-founder Alex Svanevik. He said no trader would want to reveal intentions ahead of time and face front-running, and that no trader would want their liquidation prices made public.
According to Foresight News, Jain said privacy is crucial to the successful operation of onchain capital markets. He also said a large batch of HYPE tokens he previously unstaked was not intended for sale, but that he was forced to regularly change wallets because the funds were continuously being tracked.
Svanevik had said transparency is a feature rather than a flaw and suggested that if funds are already being tracked, it would be better to disclose intentions in advance. Jain made the remarks in response to that view.
